This blog exists to feed news items into the Kisiizi Hospital website. 

This is a Christian Hospital that serves those of all faiths, and none. It is a fee paying hospital, but no one has been turned away through reasons of poverty. It is a distant rural hospital, but well known throughout Uganda

The hospital has never closed to patients since it started which is a testimony to God’s faithful provision, even in the cruel Obote and Amin eras. Many staff have shown great dedication in service to patients who come from a large catchment area stretching hundreds of miles, patients sometimes travelling from beyond Mbarara, the regional town 80 miles away.

The hospital is situated in south-west Uganda, between Kabale and Rukungiri. It is in the Kigezi highlands and is about 5,300 feet above sea level..

The Hospital was established in 1958 by the Ruanda Mission and subsequently handed over to the Church of Uganda. It is now part of the wider ministry of the North Kigezi Diocese.
